Please read these terms carefully before using our services. By using our site or our services, you agree to be bound by them.

1. Definitions
- “Selance” or “we”: Selance, the technology design and development company.
- “Client” or “you”: the person or organisation using our services.
- “Services”: all design and development services we provide.
- “Project”: the work agreed between Selance and the Client.
2. Scope of services
We provide website, e-commerce, and web application design and development. The scope of each project is set out in detail in the quote or contract agreed between both parties.
Any additional requests outside the agreed scope may require extra cost and time.
3. Pricing and payment
- Prices are set out in the quote issued for each project.
- We require an upfront payment before work begins (usually 50% of the total).
- The balance is due on completion, before final delivery.
- Quoted prices exclude hosting and domain costs unless stated otherwise.
4. Timelines
We commit to realistic time estimates for every project. Timelines can, however, be affected by:
- Delays in the Client providing required materials or feedback
- Changes to the project scope
- Repeated revision requests
5. Revisions
Every project includes a defined number of revision rounds (specified in the contract). Additional revisions may incur extra fees.
Substantial changes that alter the scope or direction of the project are treated as additional work and are priced separately.
6. Intellectual property
- Intellectual property in the final work transfers to the Client on full payment.
- We reserve the right to feature the project in our portfolio unless agreed otherwise.
- Open-source libraries and tools used remain subject to their original licences.
- The Client is responsible for providing content that does not infringe others’ intellectual property.
7. Confidentiality
We keep all information the Client shares with us confidential. We will not disclose confidential information to third parties without prior written consent, unless required by law.
8. Warranty and support
- We warrant fixes for technical defects for 30 days after delivery.
- Additional technical support and maintenance are available under separate agreements.
- The warranty does not cover defects caused by the Client’s or a third party’s modifications.
9. Cancellation
If the Client cancels the project:
- The upfront payment is non-refundable
- Any additional work completed will be invoiced
- No files or code for incomplete work will be delivered
10. Limitation of liability
We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special damages arising from the use of our services. Our maximum liability is limited to the amount paid for the services in question.
11. Changes to these terms
We reserve the right to amend these terms at any time. Changes take effect as soon as they are published on this page. Continuing to use our services after any change means you accept the amended terms.
